A founding partner of Strategy and a 35 year industry veteran, Dave specializes in communication management, crisis communications, media training, special event management, speech writing, and media relations.

He served 12 years as vice president and director of public relations for Lewis Communications in Alabama. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president for one of the southeast’s largest public relations firms, Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence in Nashville. He began his career as information coordinator for Volunteer Electric Cooperative headquartered in Decatur, Tennessee. While in college he worked for one weekly and two daily newspapers including The Knoxville News Sentinel.

Dave has worked on a number of national accounts including Bridgestone, Murray Ohio, Tencel Fibers, and Martha White Foods. He has coordinated the Southeast U.S./ Japan Conference, numerous conventions and trade exhibitions, a professional women’s tennis tournament, placed clients and products on national television and radio programs, as well as helped open a major automotive manufacturing facility. One August he even made it snow in Tallahassee.

Perhaps Dave’s finest achievements have involved helping countless clients through difficult periods and, in many cases, turned apparent disaster into positive publicity.
